Today's Solar Eclipse, for me, has become an opportunity to re-evaluate, recharge and become more responsive to massive change.

Over the years, I've learned to roll with the punches.  Now, I prefer to avoid getting punched.  Always active, involved and a strong advocate for change, I am starting to learn to become more pensive and patient.

My current reading selections include a selection from Audible, "Overthinking and Master Your Emotions", by Lawrence Rosemberg and Silvia Watson.  As billed by the publisher, "Uncontrollable emotions are like ghosts floating around you and wrapping you down, preventing you from reaching your goals.

This useful audiobook is going to teach you many things, among them:  You’ll get out of the loop of intrusive thoughts, and you’ll eventually unblock your intuitive potential. And that's not everything! You’ll finally manage to cut out all of your useless thoughts to efficaciously focus on the ones that really matter.

You’ll be able to get through your past, modify and replan your interpretation of events, which will help you to improve your present and your future. Thanks to the perfect re-education of yourself, you’ll stop being a slave of your imperfect childhood education.

No negative emotion will have the power to control either you or the situations it comes from."

Yes, this book is that and so much more!

In today's contemplative mode, I ran across "Wise Quotes" from Maya Angelou.

Though trying moments can often feel punishing and unkind, Angelou reminds us that we always have the power to choose how we treat ourselves and others.

Beyond her famous quote, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time,” Angelou's words offer incredible insight into the human condition.

You can find more of Angelou's wisdom at this link from MSN

One final note:  The reason I sought out "Overthinking" is because I often use that as my weakness in job interviews.

Based on the insights I have discovered with these inspirational writers, I will emphasize my strengths which have their genesis in my dissertation, entitled "An Assessment of Corporate Culture and Resistance to Technological Change in Education and Management:  A Delphi Approach.".

From the Futurist Michael Porter, whom I cite in my doctoral studies, "The manager does things right; the leader does the right thing."

I will begin again, during the 21 days of this new moon eclipse to endeavor to have both the courage to "lead" my life and the patience to "manage" my life.
